Jesus said, “Come unto me, all you who labor, and who are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me. Then, you will find rest for your souls“ (Matthew 11:28-30)
Christ Followers, to truly experience R.E.S.T, it is essential we are guided by God’s own Holy Spirit: As we fully embrace the teachings, and the Ancient Wisdom of Almighty God, which we find in The Holy Bible, we will have R.E.S.T. (Rock-solid Eternal Spirituality TODAY) Reading it, hearing it, studying it, meditating on it, and memorizing it give us transformed lives that allow us rest in The Lord Jesus.
Jesus Teachings Tell IT Like IT Is:
What I am saying is especially true when we, indeed, become Jesus’ Disciples. I say this because Jesus tells IT like IT is: In His teachings, we are saved from Hell, death and the grave. We are no longer condemned for our sins. (John 3:16-18.) We experience complete freedom from bondage to Sin and Death (John 8:31-36.) When we fully embrace His teachings, and we live by them, our lives are built on a rock-solid foundation. And when the storms of life, the trials, the tragedy, trauma, trouble, temptations, and tribulations assault us, we will stand strong. If we don’t, our lives will be based on quicksand. There will be no R.E.S.T, and we will crash and burn. (Mt. 7:24-27) And this is the polar opposite of God’s will for each of our lives.
P R A Y E R
Heavenly Father, please have mercy and guide us in YOUR truth, as YOU save us from hell, death and the grave. Dear Lord. Let YOUR Holy Spirit flow through us to teach us all YOUR ways. Give us grace that we will walk in YOUR freedom. And give us grace to walk on rock solid stepping stones for victorious Christ Centered Living. Let YOUR teachings provide us with YOUR unassailable foundation that will never crumble or crack. For YOU are God our Savior.
