Sin is to break God’s law, and everyone reading this has broken God’s Law. As a result. there is a pay day someday for sin.This wage is death. (Romans 6:23.) It’s really deadly for a person’s eternal soul to be governed by sin. If sin isn’t done away with, we will be experiencing Hell, death, and the grave. We will be enslaved by our passions and in bondage to sin and death, and darkness will rule our lives.

So, today I want us to experience R.E.S.T. in God’s Eternal Covenant promises: Through Christ Jesus, and through His shed blood & sacrificed body, on The Cross, and Jesus’s resurrection, a miracle occurred! Now, God and God alone provides everything necessary to blot out sin from our lives. And He will never think about them again. (Isaiah 43:25)

Have you ever thought that you or I could actually loan God anything? Sounds odd doesn’t it? However, the ancient wisdom, of history’s greatest wisdom writer, reveals one area where we can do precisely that. Whenever we demonstrate “kindness to the poor,” we actually “loan to the Lord.”

THE BENEFIT

Interestingly, God gives us a “reap what we sew” benefit to being kind like this: The Almighty promises people of A.R.K. (Acts of Random Kindness) a reward. He provides anyone who makes this God loan a reward.

WHAT IS YOUR HABIT?

Christ Follower, how often do you show kindness to the poor? When was the last time you demonstrated this? If you are gracious like this, do you do this habitually or only during Christmas, etc.?

Giving to, and receiving from, the Lord like this surely does sound a whole lot like

Hebrews 12:1-2

Joy is sustained during times of persecution, and during challenging times , when we keep ourselves aware of the “great cloud of witnesses,” — who are beloved ancestors in Heaven — who successfully ran this race before us, and who are cheering us on.

Additionally, we are to put off the sins of our lives, and we are to look to Jesus. He is the author and perfector of our faith. Let Him help us write the pages our journey, by God’s marvelous grace, as He grows us into God given perfection.

Finally, by God’s grace, holding tightly to God, we are to run our race that God has set out before us … one day at a time.
