Rock Solid Living

One of the key things Christ Followers need to understand, regarding becoming strong in the Lord, is that it is something we become and not something we make ourselves do; for example, Isaiah 40:29-31 spells out how the weak are made Supernaturally Strong by waiting on the Lord. More importantly, Jesus talks about how we can become fruitful by simply abiding in Him, and He in us, as the Father prunes us “branches,” and as the Holy Spirit flows through the vineyard producing much fruit in we who are waiting on the power to produce fruit, that will remain. John 15:1-17.

Our challenge on being strong is not working at it, but it involves “being” in the right relationship with God, intentionally, to become God’s people made strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.

PRAYER.

Father, help us to give up being in charge: Help us learn to yield ourselves to You, wait on You, and abide in You, by becoming what You would have us become. The result would be that we would actually DO what you want us to DO. Then we will R.E.S.T. in becoming, and being, strong in You, our Lord, and in Your mighty power.

Because God is faithful, you can depend on HIM, as a Christ Follower, who daily trusts in The God of Israel, through HIS Son, Jesus, by the power of The Holy Spirit. This is true, child of God, no matter what you are going through.

When you are weak, you can rely on HIM to give you strength. As we Saints see the world crumbling around us, HIS promise is true: He will keep us on the Solid-rock of Jesus and HIS teachings. There is NO firmer foundation for living life. And HE will protect you, and HE will guard you from the evil one. That is why you can experience HIS R.E.S.T. today.
