This is the Day that the LORD has made… Psalm 118:24a
Don’t let circumstances ruin your God given gift of today by focusing on what is negative! To R.E.S.T, and be free, do as Jesus teaches: “Take, therefore, no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:34 KJV. A modern way to say this is: “Don’t focus on tomorrow, for tomorrow has not yet happened, and it has its own things going on. Besides, today has enough challenges for you to face” This is one of “The Stepping Stones for Victorious Christ Centered Living,” about which I wrote in “Rock Solid Living in a Quicksand World-Rewind.” This really is a way to experience Rock-solid Eternal Spirituality Today!
God’s Holy Determination: Psalm 118: 24b
Celebrating with the Psalmist:
I am a recipient of God’s grace, guidance, and a God given holy determination, to “Rejoice & be glad,” in this gift of life, that God gives us today.” So, all these thousands of years after the writing of this praise, I too can celebrate living life today! This really does accomplish something special in my own life, and I want this for you. Listen up: I know about having a challenging day! I know about having numerous challenging days; nevertheless, God has always, through His Son, Jesus, by the power of The Holy Spirit, been faithful. And God will ALWAYS be faithful! Choosing to focus on all the bad stuff, and choosing to focus on larger chunks of time, is of course your free choice. But such choosing this way may leave you feeling anxious, depressed, afraid and — sadly — un grateful! I will say it again: It’s your choice. I hope, with God’s help, today, you will celebrate the gift of life today. I hope today you will be able to experience R.E.S.T: I hope you will experience Rock-solid Eternal Spirituality Today!
I hope you will begin each day with this hope filled promise and God given holy determined praise.
This is the day that the Lord has made!
I will rejoice and be glad in it!
Psalm 118:24
I do this a lot, and I can tell you that this really does work for me every single day.
Have a blessed day.
