I have lived with heart disease for a long time. As a matter of fact, according to my Cardiologist, and my Primary Care Provider, I am a walking miracle. My life expectancy, I was told, should be five years. I am approaching 25 years of living when I should not have done so. My medical providers now tell me, “Take each day as a gift.” And this is what I do.
The Wisdom of Psalm 73:26
Therefore, I cling to the ancient wisdom of Psalm 73:26. For it tells me my my flesh and my heart may fail. Yes, Congestive Heart Failure is a part of my daily walk. Unlike many of you, who rarely are aware of your heart; however, mine daily — and more often than daily — reminds me it is playing out. It’s getting to where it will stop. It has stopped.
Nevertheless, The Almighty brings me miracles: Right smack dab in the middle of this failure, He steps in as the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Indeed, He keeps me going. But the most important thing is He is my portion forever! HALLELUJAH! In other words He is my destiny for all eternity.
I Experience R.E.S.T
I R.E.S.T. in Him. As I abide in Jesus, and as Jesus abides in me, I experience life: I experience God’s love, joy and peace. I have, one day at a time, the capacity to suffer long, to be a gentle, good, person of integrity. And by the Holy Spirit, I have self control. This why I experience Rock-solid Eternal Spirituality Today
