R.E.S.T. In Being God’s One

Sometimes

Sometimes life happens in painful and unexpected ways. Sometimes we feel spiritually low. Sometimes our emotions are more painful than not. Sometimes our life’s relationships are broken 💔 😕 Sometimes, especially during these inflationary days, our budgets are tight, and our indebtedness becomes burdensome. Sometimes, health issues are constantly putting us , or our loved ones, in bad places. Sometimes, all of the above happens to us. Sometimes we seem lost. And we feel like we are the only one going through this. Sometimes we are lost. What are we to be? What are we to do?

The good news is, as a Christ Follower, you are not in this by your self. As Matthew 18:12 reveals, the Good Shepherd of our souls is focused on you. He is willing to leave the Ninety-Nine, or those who are ok, in the safety of the hill country, and He is reaching out just to you. Though they are the symbolically secure Ninety-nine, He wants you to — right now — reach out to Him. Call out to Him. Surrender to Him. He wants to bring you back to the safety of the fold. Experience R.E.S.T, In the arms of The Good Shepherd, Jesus. He is looking just for you.

Prayer

Dear Lord,

I thank you that you are looking out for me. I thank you that You are looking for me. Help me to hold on tight to You as you bring me to Your place of safety, hope and strength.
